I found this while surfing, I thought it sounded very interesting. while digging holes into my skull doesnt sound so appealing, having the ability to read minds opens a whole new aria for computer usage, and possibly bionics.

I found the article pretty interesting to see where they were at with the research.

I couldn't, however, eliminate that funny thought in the back of the mind... If someone used these electrodes to control their locomotion, that would give a whole new meaning to "sleepwalking." Imagine having a dream you're superman, only to wake up as your motorized wheelchair was plunging down a stairwell. Sorry... I don't mean to be insensitive... it was just one of those bizarre thoughts I couldn't let go.

imagine a grid of nano-sized sensors embedded underneath your skull when your born that allow you to talk to whatever device wirelessly, car/tv/lights/computer all could be turned off or on with a simple thought, this is most likely the future

But again, what about nightmares? Would be pretty interesting to see the lights in peoples houses start flickering violently. But It would be very useful for enviroment control, You think "Im cold," and the heat turns up. You think "Im hot" and the AC turns on.
