Mind mapping software... suggestions?

I've been getting into mind mapping software recently after I found the brain over at
http://www.thebrain.com/

I really really dig this app, the interface is pretty decent and I can see how this network-node mapping interface would make great replacements or enhancements to many aspects of file and/or object/data organization interfaces (especially file management).

Has anyone else used software like this and know of anything better?

Unless software is needed for group collaboration, I'd go with paper & the trusty blue Pentel mechanical pencil.

I agree paper is good, but you run out of space and it is very costly. I got notebooks full of stuff I've written, but at some point the relationship complexity becomes unmanageable without a computer, and these mapping tools are made just for those kinds of purposes.

With some of the stuff I'm working on it would take up entire boxes of paper.
