So my gf wants an ultrabook but is concerned about whether SNB i5 is good enough to run lightroom 4 without any stutter. I know nothing about video editing or mid-range cpus so I can't really help.

Does anyone know what will run it well without hiccups? I checked the requirements on the adobe website but those are just minimum specs it seems. She doesn't want any lag at all so is i5, 4GB RAM good enough?

We're talking ultrabooks here so resolution is whatever shitty resolutions laptops use (I've never owned one) so 1366x something or whatever it is.

No stutter = SNB + 8GB RAM + SSD

4GB will be enough, but 8GB would be ideal
i5 is more than enough
SSD is not necessary

but "no lag at all" would be SB-E with 64 GB of RAM and RAID0 SSD

It really depends on what sorts of images you're working with and how many there are. The difference between i5 and i7 isn't that great in the ULV ultrabook space, so don't worry about that too much. Get the most RAM and best SSD that you can though.
