What's the eye rolling for?

I never said murder.

And you've enlightened me, what's the problem?

You're a sarcastic ass, that's the problem.

I said your claim had no basis in fact, not that the polar opposite of your claim was true.

Yay semantics! This thread delivers....

Homicide versus murder

While murder is homicide, not all homicides are murder.

edit: review post #7. you used the term homicide....I originally thought unintentional...but was I wrong? Did you mean intentional as in murder?

I was sure that you had no evidence on which to base your claims, and in that I was correct.

I haven't found anything from googling. Doesnt mean it hasn't happened. I don't want to test it out either....but go for it. You had me thinking your were confident enough to...

I love you guys.

A little rationality for you all:

Doesn't sound like the officer is guilty of that. That is to say, this was an accident and this statute does not cover accidents.

how do you accidentally lock a dog in a car long enough for the dog to overheat and die?

If you buy this was an accident, then this officer shouldn't be a cop, because they're too stupid.

They forgot to turn the air conditioning on. They clearly meant for it to be on because the engine was running. The only reason to run the engine is to run the A/C.

Fortunately, they have taken steps to prevent this from happening again.

Nyx was the department's first and only police dog. The department has suspended its K9 program and is reviewing its policies, Preciado said.

Alarms will be installed in the K9 patrol car before the department acquires a new police dog, Preciado said. The alarm will come with a key fob that dog handlers will carry that will alert them when the car gets too hot or too cold.
