I did a search and didn't see anything on this, but hopefully someone will have experience with it...
I'm recently having a problem with shutting down Millenium on my 8KHA+. When I go to shut down, my screen goes blank but my computer stays on and my monitor light stays green. I have to push reset and it boots fine, and have to sit through M.E. checking for disk errors because of improper shutdown. This time when I go to shutdown it works fine. It's not a random event, either - does it every single time no matter how long the computer has been on. I had a problem with the system freezing at shutdown because of the "Windows Exit" sound taking too long but I disabled that (current problem appeared well after that fix). If anyone has seen this problem and knows of a fix, please let me know. I'm not overclocking right now and don't have the reboot issue since I replaced the bios chip. Thanks!

I checked in Power Options and I've got everything set to never go into suspend. I printed out a Millenium Shutdown Problems help sheet from the MS website and will go through all the options there and see if anything helps. If not, I'll be back :(

My friend had the same problem. I think the ACPI was causing the problem. Go in to the BIOS and disable ACPI and that should solve ur problem. But U will lose the standby function. Any way try it.

Thanks Plex24. Will disabling ACPI in bios cause any freaky things to happen with Millenium and will it work without a reload of the OS?
