Well, I'm not normally that bad of a shot, however, that day I was beyond terrible. I'm embarrassed in fact. The first time I ever shot was with PAB down in Florida, and I was actually shooting pretty much like Skoorb. My stance in those shots was beyond sickening, and my shooting showed that.

About shooting with a different eye -- it won't matter much because I'm blind in both eyes. I'm about -8.50 in both eyes, and I need to go get my prescription updated because I can't see sh!t these days.

wow Mill is a bad shot 😉 you can see the difference between the .40 and the 9mm, watch the recoil and you can clearly see how much more difficult it is for Mr. Skoorb to line up for the next shot.
Yeah I looked on the ground and there were a few .22 casings. I imagine that the recoil on a .22 is pretty darn negligible and lining up the shots would be easy, but as you can see sometimes the 9mm doesn't take down the targets if they're hit too close to the hinge, whereas the .40 has more power behind it, so I'd guess that with a .22 the round would frequently fail to push down the target.

I imagine that that would definitely help 🙂

ive never fired a gun or been to a range...

so what stops the bullets from richocheting if you hit the base the targets are on?

or on the metal targets themselves?

Sorry to hear that, but how do you like that glock .40 i have been thinking of getting one, either that or a Sig Sauer P-229 which is also a .40.

The metal plates that you aim for are leaning slightly down and the angles just don't encourage a bullet to launch backwards. In terms of if you hit the base they're on I noticed that the base is at a 45 degree angle. This is why you'll notice some shots if we miss and it's not to the side the bullet appears to hit wildly up or wildly down, because the base for the plate targets angles the bullet up or down instead of back at the shooter.

Bullets don't bounce. Ricochet, yes, but they don't bounce.

There is absolutely no danger of a bullet coming back at you.

Yeah I thought the same but if you look closely you'll see that the gun is simply not pointed down to the amount it would have to be to hit the dirt that low 😉

LOL, bad shooting!

Of course, if I got out to the range, I'd probably be no better. I haven't been to the range in 20 years. :Q

Hey at least you had a good time, got out and did something AWAY from ATOT! Most importantly, you did it safely.

Cheers!

E, you got owned by Skoorb. 😛

It's too bad you guys don't live up here...I'd show you how a PROFESSIONAL shoots. 😉

I've heard that cops are often not a good shot :Q

You are a pretty good shot Skoorb. Maybe if you shoot enough with Mill, some of your ability will rub off on him. 😛

Just like with civilians it various from person to person. Some aren't as dedicated to maintaining their skills as others, so they aren't as proficient. That doesn't apply to me, of course, because I'm tremendous! 😀

Edit: Also, our training is guided toward practicality rather than pinpoint accuracy. Sure, those who practice target shooting are likely to be more accurate, but if you get in a situation where you have to draw on a person and shoot them, I'd put my money on the cop.
