Fardingle sneaks ahead!

And my HD 7870 XT is still stuck at 850 MHz instead of 925 MHz, anyone know why? Or am I going to have to Google it?
Are the latest drivers good with this card?? (it's not on the latest ones atm).

What are the temps on the card? My 280X has been bouncing around between 800 and 900MHz depending on how hot the GPU is at the time...

@Fardringle now you know I wasn't kidding about it running hot! I hope it was worth the shipping cost, lol. Figured it might have one last competition left in it... Maybe?

Definitely hot, but still producing quite a lot for this competition! A lot more than I would have had without it!

Currently running at 72-73C (ambient 23C), so not running hot, GPU-Z still reports 850 MHz.

My output dropped, as after reboot my 250x started processing both F@H and MW WU. Surprised it didn't just completely crash to be honest. I let the F@H WU finish, paused the slot and restarted MW. Currently I'm just letting the card and APU process 1 WU each for a few days to get a better baseline, then I'll switch it back to 2 WU each and see if I still get a 30%+ improvement in points.

My crappy old Quadro 4000 cards are running two tasks at a time now, until that machine gets trashed. That extra 5K points per day makes me unbeatable! I might even catch up to crashtech!

Apparently I'm out producing you by just 3-4k/day over the past couple of days, not enough! I need to get my 7870 back to it's proper speed!

[edit] Done, I set the 'clock control' to 1009 MHz and I get a clock speed of 926 MHz

I have a a strange issue.. I just noticed every single tasks one of my BOINC instances has uploaded recently is not being validated. This is one of the tasks - https://milkyway.cs.rpi.edu/milkyway/result.php?resultid=843511358

What's very odd to me is it never goes into validation pending, as soon as it uploads it says Invalid, so it's flagging something before ever even comparing it to another WU uploaded by somebody else. That same machine has 3 other BOINC instances running currently working fine. I went ahead and just aborted the remaining tasks on that instance since it's clearly not functioning correctly and shut that instance down, but that makes no sense to me.

Ew! That's ugly! Every task from all three Firepro cards is going invalid. Definitely something wrong there. I'd post a link to that computer in the Windows Problems section of the MilkyWay forums to see if someone can figure out the cause since the task results I can see don't give any indication of an error.

In the meantime, maybe put that machine on SRBase for the sprint...

What's weird, though, is it was only that instance. Other BOINC instances on the same machine(running on the same 3 cards, same settings as far as I can tell, etc.) worked fine. That was the machine that I was CPU bottlenecked on anyways, so I'm in the process of moving them to another machine. SRBase will only use 1 GPU in a machine, so I may put 1 of them on it but cannot do all 3.

Oh, that makes it even more strange! In that case, I'd try wiping the instance completely (delete all of the folders) and create a new one. Might have some corrupted files in there or something like that.
