Hey ! Remember me? :) Well anyways... its about my little cpu... 1.95v is not stable anymore...especially CS? I dont know what CS does that makes my comp hard lock but... 2.0v seems to cut it for everything else... but CS requires 2.1v... i dont know but thats a little too high. I also switched for a quieter fan on my heatsink and highest at 2.1v is 52 degrees... which is the highest ive seen it. My old heatink at 2.1v keeps it at 50 but either way its rock stable at 2.0v w/o Counter Strike... and 2.1v with Counter Strike... should i be worried... or will i burn this sucker out within a week? I know you have yours at 2.3v or some crazy number but i dont remember your temps. Thanks!

hey Boyracer :p
Is your P3 system running@ 1333@ 2.1V? I'm assuming your 52C CPU temp is at load. The temp you are reporting@ 52C is not bad. Ya know the Intel's safe limit in CPU temp on these are around 80- 85C. Your CPU will be okay, no problem even though it's OC'ed.. as long as it shows stability as you've mentioned. Your CPU should still have no problem lasting several years. My suggestion is that you leave it running at 2.1Vcore@ 1333. I guess you don't like the noisy fan don't ya. As long as that temp you reported doesn't jump higher, don't worry about replacing your fan. just leave it as it is. But if I were you, I'd put a faster fan on there. What kind of HS you have? .. but anyways, don't worry.. you should be okay upto 2.1V. :)

The detail of my temps are reported in my siggy by clicking the link.\
The max(climax) temp I get@ 1450mhz@ 2.30V@ Sandra CPU Burn-in Test is: 49C (depending on the room temperature)
The full load temp@ various apps including 3D games: somewhere in the Mid 30's.
At Idlet temp: 24- 25C.

BoYRaCeR, why run the CPU fan @ the same speed all the time? Put the loud fan back on and install Speedfan. Have the fan @ full RPM while playing CS, and a lower RPM (quiet) when just surfing, etc. You can have your cake and eat it too. To use this utility, the CPU fan must be connected to a mobo fan header.

Thanks everyone... hmmm... even if 52c is a little worrying... i guess its ok. Thats a pretty cool util oldfart... and its freeware!!! Hahaha... but im not sure if it will run on my board... it says CUSL2 isnt supported? ... As for what kind of heatsink i have on it now... hahaha... im gonna get flak for this but... its an Agilent Arcticooler... :) yah yah i know... but its the most quiet heatsink i have for now... i had an Sk6 with a Delta on it... and the whole house would know the computer is on... :( ...im thinking of going watercooling but a 300MHz jump isnt even worth the trouble... i think.
