I was at OD searching for hidden HP graphing calculators, and stumbled across this Casio CFX-9850GB for $29.88 minus a $10 rebate that must be mailed by 12/31/2001

The SKU # is 7976714562

YMMV, it could very well be local considering neither the SKU nor the Model number even show up on the OD website.

I thought that OD SKU's were 6 digits? Anyways, I may have to slide up into my local OD and see if they have it in stock.

The rebates I found were yellow stickers on the box.

The yellow sticker on the box expired in 2000.

Update: my sticker is actually orange and says $20 rebate but is expired.

The yellow sticker says.......Original store receipt dated after 6/1/01 UPC symbol and sticker from this box. Must be postmarked by 12/31/01

Those phrases indicate to me that it is still valid.

Allll Riiiiight! I finally get to get in on a B&M deal! At the OD at the Ward Center (Honolulu) they had 2 of these in stock but the clearance price on the shelf said $65 or so. Anyways, being the inquisitive guy that I am I went to the check out counter and asked the girl to scan the tag. It rang up as $29.99 so I said I'll take it! It even has the yellow $10 rebate sticker on the box. There is atl east 1 more left there if anyone in Hawaii needs to get one. Although I just heard that OM has them on clearance for $20 in another thread. Maybe I should go and check it out...

Hey at least I'm not like some people, I only got what I needed (one) and left some for other people instead of scarfing them all up to try to sell in the forsale/trade forums or worse eb@y! But I know you can feel my pain, as everytime I see a hot deal posted then find out that there is no local B&M store (Like Staples)... I feel

I could use the rebate form too. My calc was an open item without a box and didn't have the rebate sticker. I can't find any refernce to the rebate at OD or Casio 's sites. I too would appreciate if someone can post a scan. (Of course, if a UPC label is required, I won't be able to use it anyway since I don't have the box.)

Officemax has the color one for $20 even and the crappy, limited non-color one for 12.50. Both of these prices are out the door, no rebate required.

can anyone comment on these calculators? i'm doing computer engineering, though I can't say i've used too many features on my TI-85 (the screen has quite a few "dead" horiztonal rows, so sometimes I don't see the negative sign and screw up huge calculations)...

it's probably way too late anyway, though i'll try OM on wednesday

I got one for a xmas present, looks nice to me for $30 or $20 if you get the rebate, compared to the texas instrument calc(I own a ti-85), it has pretty good memory, 4 color screen, and has similar features

got one today from the edison nj location...they still have the display model, but they were only knocking 10% off for me (they claim they have the box/instructions etc in the back), so if you're still looking hurry and get there before another ATer gets there first
