St Johns Wort is a norepinephrine reuptake inhibitor...

I think that could effect alertness and drowsiness.

Any other suggestions? Tea I never seem to notice the caffeine in it.

A special message for you from Evo Morales Ayma, president of Bolivia.

Let Me Chew My Coca Leaves

"Today, millions of people chew coca in Bolivia, Colombia, Peru and northern Argentina and Chile. "

Though, if you live in the US, this practice likely violates the law.

Definitely look into yerba mate. Full of antioxidants and has mateine instead of caffeine. Doesn't give you the jitters.

There are some really nice Chinese white and green teas out there, just got to start sampling.

If you like tea, check it out.

I am intrigued at this thread. What are the benefits of buying this in a pound - just more of it as you are buying in bulk? How many days would this last, as opposed to like 16 bags? Will this help wean me off caffeine/coffee? I've been thinking about stopping for a bit and it seems this would lessen the pain/headaches/irritability if I chose to switch for the first few days instead of going cold turkey.

Stop caffeine and reduce sugar. It's amazing how calm and in control and content you feel when you get off the stuff. It's a horrible addiction.

But if you must go to the health store and get some green tea tablets. Much better for you and the green tea has some health effects too.

Then go to GNC and get that megamen Multi vitamin: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4033435

Take one of those and then an hour later take the green tea tablet. Man you'll be flying with energy and ambition, and good energy. You'll be a lot healthier for it and no crash.

But get off the other stuff first. Just use these two. A chocolate here and there ain't to bad though. Just as a treat not as something regular.

Stop drinking coffee or consuming anything else with caffeine for a week or so.

Then start again.

It's a simple fix.

Without Googling, it's probably B-vitamins.

I like to get my B vitamins from fruit and veggies, which I eat a lot of anyway.
It seems every other product on the supermarket shelf these days has added B vitamins.

EDIT: Looked it up for Dasani. It has guarana. Essentially caffeine.

All chocolate contains theobromine, a xanthine just like caffeine or theophyllamine.

So high cocoa chocolate will essentially do exactly what coffe will do in the exact same way.

Get some ephedra pellets for horses, mix with DMSO, apply with paintbrush on arm.

Run 10 miles to get the itch out of your system/die of a massive coronary.
