Mild overclock on 3570k, variation in vcore display?

Just starting with a small overclock on my 3570k at 4.1ghz but noticing that neither CPU-Z or Core Temp are displaying the correct vcore, is there any way to tell which 1 is more accurate?

I set manual Vcore to 1.2 in the bios, left all the other power options alone (including turbo, speedstep). motherboard is p8z77-v LK with latest bios

EDIT: strangely enough CPU-Z reports the correct 1.2vcore after i stop stress testing, but reverts to the 1.16 when under load

That is just Vdroop , totally normal .
You can compansate a bit by raising the CPU LLC up a notch or tow . you don't want to set it that it overshoots though .

But honestly if your looking to stay at 4.1 you could probably just use auto and call it a day .
or lower Vcore to around 1.15 with higher LLC .

4.1 shouldn't need much more than stock speed voltages .
 
Ah i left the COU LLC on auto, i'll fiddle with it and see if that helps.

But now i'm wondering do i need to lower it or raise it? I'm getting conflicting reports if the Vcore is above or below what i set it at based on the 2 different programs i listed.

Don't mix up vcore with VID .there not the same .
Vcore is the voltage at that time running , well it best the software can display it might not be real voltage if you measured it with DVM .
VID is what Intel has as a voltage table ,that is what CPU think it needs . that is on high side so you might need close to 1.2v
