My search for a steal-of-a-deal on a nice digital camera continues, so here is what I have stumbled upon (and hopefully this works for me tomorrow)


Staples.com HP 620 digital camera

25 cent filler

PCRush.com's HP 620

pcrush.com has the HP 620 digital camera for $159.45, Staples has it for $199.99.

Add a set of of binder clips for $0.25 to bring your staples total to $200.24.
Apply $50 off $200

Call staples (1800-3staple option 2) and say you wanna PM to pcrush.com -- that's a credit of ~$35.84 ($44.54 if your CSR forgets to add in shipping) [199.99 - 159.45 - 7.95 shipping] * 1.1

That's savings of $85.84 (or $94.54 if you have a dumb CSR on the phone)

That brings the total to $114.40, or if you are lucky, $105.45

Both Staples.com and PCRush.com offer the same 1 year warranty, same wrist strap, batteries, etc etc so don't let the CSR give you any crap about that if you try this deal. Ill post tomorrow with my story of success or failure. Thanks.
 
That will be tough to pull off. Staple's PM policy is to include the coupon in the PM, but you could get lucky and get an unknowing CSR.

The model numbers match exactly, and so does the warranty, as you've stated.

Every time I PM with Staples I have coupons on my order... just buy the camera on the staples.com website, apply the coupon there, and call in for the PM... I have never had a CSR take a coupon off (Ive done about 6 PM's w/ coupons)
 
I placed my order and then called Staples (1800-3staple option 2).
Spoke with Jessica.
me: I just bought an HP 620 camera from staples.com and I wanna pricematch to PCRush.com.. heres my order number.
her: Ok and how much did you see the camera for on PCRush?
me: $159.45
her: OK would you please hold a moment?
me: sure

after 1 minute:
her: I checked out PCRush.com's hp 620 and everything seems to match up... you are going to see a credit of $47.12 on your VISA
me: Ok thank you bye...

Well it worked for me, I should be getting the camera in a couple days... my final price was $103.12. I have no idea how my CSR came up with a credit of $47.12, but hey, im not gonna argue!
 
Having trouble finding coupon code. Is there a web site that usually lists these? I've tried searching the net but only found 20 off 200.

Please help!

I found another retailer, BuyDig, with the 620 for $147.00 and free ground shipping. This deal is getting hotter, I believe.

Does Staples charge the difference for overnight shipping when you PM to other websites to their website? I know they do this when you PM to websites in B&M.
