As I'm watching the K-1 Final, Bob Sapp has announced that he signed a contract to fight with Tyson next year. :Q
I am a big Tyson's fan, has been watching him since his 9 secs KO fights to even the more disappointing later fights, and am still his fan. I don't know if he should enter into K-1, but if he got himself a good trainer and get rid of Don King, I think he might go somewhere. Your thoughts?

As much as I've wanted to see him come back and be a real contender, he's just fvcked it up time and time again - I no longer think he deserves it after the number of chances he's gotten...

Bob Sapp is a huge POS fighter who can't do anything. Sapp will be KO'ed in less than 90 seconds. The only reason Sapp can beat anyone is purely his size. He has no fighting skills and is out of gas within 1 round.

elaborate plz.

Mixed Martial Arts Tournament. Similar to UFC. Can't remember if it's in an octagon or a ring but basically it's guys beating each other up. Bob Sapp is a big black dude (Warren Sapp's cousin or brother i think?!?) who is one of the big draws there.

EDIT: More info - Bob Sapp

I thought K-1 is a kickboxing tournament. CroCrop is from K-1, right? Regardless, I'm gonna love seeing Mike Tyson getting his butt kicked all over the place.

No I believe it is Mixed Martial Arts, not just kickboxing. Not sure who/what CroCrop is...

Why is he an animal? Is it because of everything that the media portrait him as? The man can't even try to be tough talking, but he was a legend in the ring.

Umm...he tatooed his face, he sexually assaulted several women, said he was going to "eat Lennox's kids," plus some other stuff that I didn't care much to remember. I don't think the media had to do much to portray him as an animal. Legend in the ring doesn't negate him from being an animal.

Bob Sapp is not related to Warren.

UFC is not really like K-1. UFC's rules are more closely related to Pride.

K-1 is kickboxing, afaik. You can be a MMA (judo, karate, etc) but you wear gloves and are allowed to kick and knee like in kickboxing. They show it on ESPN 2 every once in a while.

I think CroCop is Pride, but I believe I have seen him in K-1 as well.

UFC, K-1, and Pride are all considered MMA

I think all of the above are true. Lemme know if I'm wrong.

edit: oh, and Bob Sapp really is a big scary mofo.

Bob Sapp uses a bull charge to pin down his opponents and then pummets them. But skilled fighters like CroCop and Remy Bonjasky proved Bob Sapp has long way to beat legit K-1 fighters. CroCop actually broke Sapp's left eye socket in a match. Remy was beating Sapp in October's K-1 until Sapp got himself disqualifed. If you look at Sapp's left eye, you can tell the damaged done by CroCop. Bob Sapp did beat Hoost though.

CroCop now is exclusively with PrideFC now.

K-1 is mostly kickboxing and no grappling/submission like UFC or Pride. K-1 doesn't allow muay thai clinches. Its when you grab/hold an opponnents head and rain multiple knees to their skulls.

Edit K-1, I forgot K-1 wants to start their own MMA division now.

Didn't Sapp almost beat Minotauro though? If I'm thinking of the correct match, I believe it was Sapp/Mino in a Pride fight. I seem to remember Sapp being ahead until Mino caught him in an armbar.

I don't understand why he fights K-1 so much. I would think Pride would be much better suited for him. In k-1, people should just kick him in the thighs over and over until he can't move. Hoost did that the first round but then the idiot blocked one of Sapp's punches with his face and it was all over. Sure Sapp would need to learn more submission defenses and counters, but I'd think he would be able to use his weight more to an advantage.
