I saw an interview a while back where Williams said...well, basically...

I know that Tyson picked me cause he thinks I am an easy win. But we dont play that in Brixton, so Mike get ready for a fight.

I am glad I did not pay to watch it, if Tyson lost so easily.

:)

Some people can handle fortune & fame, others can't. Tyson isn't the only Michael who it drove a bit crazy...

Tyson lost the fight because he was smart. He lost because he wanted to, this was his last chance to get out rich & he took thoes 9-1 odds as a way to get out of his mess money wise.

He... I doubt that Tyson is smart enough to bet on his oponent.... maybe Don King's thinking. Anyway... we'll see him in the UFC circuit, either that or K-2.

Like this was a Surprise to ANYBODY?

He's old, and he doesn't have the hunger to properly train. And thats just the Boxing aspect of his life. Only reason folks prob want to watch him is because he's an out of control train wreck raging against the machine.

Did you see the lady about 10 rows from the main camera view. She had her baby with her at a boxing fight!!!! Is this how most people in Louisville raise their kids???
I saw a couple of kids there under the age of 10. I was shaking my head. I didn't see the women you're talking about. I did see a lot of incredible-looking women, though. They kept my attention the most. ;)

Tyson's not doing K-1 now. My understanding is that contract was bought out so he could come back to heavyweight boxing.

But... I doubt that he will remain in the boxing arena for too long. So, without money, he will surely move onto MMA, as hinted earlier this year.

Yup. Don't forget that he was considered bankrupt a short while back...

How much did he make anyway ?

BTW, he was a real cool guy when I found him on my plane.

I agree, he took a dive. boxing is so rigged its not even fun to watch.

Tyson earned about $8 million for the 57th fight of a pro career that began 19 years ago. He could only keep $2 million of it, with the rest going to pay off some of the $38 million he owes to creditors, under a bankruptcy reorganization plan.

Williams immediately proposed to his longtime fiancée, Zoe, the mother of his two daughters, who accepted, and not because the Englishman made a $350,000 purse tonight with a lot more to come.

WTF!!!

Tyson generates interests and revenue. I think he should keep fighting, be his opponents' punching bag, and collect on Go.

Back in Tyson's hayday he wasn't getting hit!
When he started getting hit, he started losing.
I remember watching Tyson late night TV before he was champ and saw him knock the mouthpiece from his opponents mouth, then promptly knocked out a couple of teeth and his opponent at the same time.

He usually won in 1-4 rounds without hardly a blemish on his face.

I am a Kentuckian, and the answer to your question is yes.

Some friends and I watched the fight last night, and are we the only ones who noticed Mr. T sitting about 3 rows back from the main camera?? He was turned around running his mouth all night to the people around him! It was funny as hell, we hardly watched any of the first match, and little of the Ali match.
