I mean, this guy once was a star in my eyes. He was the best at what he does, and I don't think anybody will ever match his tenacity or skills (when he was in his prime). But it's kinda sad to know he's living in homeless shelter (I bet his x-wife is not). Sure he had issue, but damn.....
 
Screw him. He had the chance at riches that few ever get and he blew it. He can die in a dumpster, in fact that would be a fitting end to his miserable existence. :Q
 
I wouldn't believe everything you read from ESPN. Do you really think he's living like a bum? He's got a fight this month that'll give him a few more millions. Is he living like he use to? Obviously not, but is he living on the streets? No. He's just playing for sympathy.

Me either. He was rich as hell and then blew it big time because he's a huge moron. I can't believe he didn't at least have the brains to realize he was an idiot and then pay some one smarter to make good decisions for him.
 
I might feel sorry for him, then I realize that he's spent more money since getting out of prison than I'll ever see in my lifetime. So yeah, I have to go with the "don't give a damn" camp.
 
Unlike the rest of you, I have a little pity for the poor guy. Once ol Cus died, anyone and everyone was hopping on the bandwagon and screwed this guy out of so much money. Probably 3/4 of his winnings, half for sure.
How was he supposed to know better when people were paying him millions of dollars to punch people, growing up not knowing what a $5 looked like, and having his supposedly trustworthy financial advisors even ripping him off?

I was going to start a thread today in fact, asking if people thought Mike Tyson would still be the greatest fighter of all time and have most everything in order(or at least moreso than he does now) if D'Amato would've been around longer to help the kid into his late 20s at least.
