For those who are fans of M-B and/or Mika Hakkinen (the guy who stuck it to Schumi twice!), both will appear on Speed TV today during their test drive segment. Mika will be the guest test driver.

For those who don't know, after retiring from F1 after winning two consecutive championships, Mika joined the Mercedes AMG team in DTM, the touring car series of Germany.

Unfortunately I'll miss this today but hopefully someone will have capped it.

Raikkonen - is that who you are talking about, the driver for McLaren? He's a great great driver in a really fast car that always breaks down - its a shame to watch him steadily increasing his lead in first place and then his car fails . . .

isnt he coming back to F1? there was a rumour, i think he could stick it to alonso, kimi and schumi.....it would be great.

mika h is one hell of a talented driver...i only wish hed come back after his sabatical, rather than staying away, though German DTM is actually quite entertaining

oh yeah, ive got that from another angle.......that was one hell of a move. truely beautiful.

today most of them are too sensible. they can just overtake in the pitstop why bother with the risk.

the only person in F1 this season just gone who was willing to stick it to people when he got the chance was takuma sato.....and he got sacked. he barged schumi out the way on the monaco start line this year......he takes no prisoners, takes big risks, was great to watch....and they got rid of him.

well you need to pull off some of those daring passes once in a while so you don't get sacked ;)

alonso and kimi were pulling off passes... of course JPM couldn't really give a sh*t about anybody else once his WDC chances were over.

Wont happen.

Plus, he's been out of the game for too long - he'd get his ass handed to him. The only F1 driver that came back that it DIDN'T happen to was Prost. The fact that he was in arguably the best car by a long shot had something to do with it.

Mika was great in his day though...

This season had a lot of daring passes.

JPM on Alonso in the first lap @ Silverstone.
Alonso on Schumi twice @ Suzuka (that crazy move on 130R!!!!)
NK on JV on Eau Rouge (or right after) @ Spa on dry tires in the wet! (unfortunately it didn't stick and he took a detour through the grass....still ballsy though).
Webber's multiple failed attempts on DC, Klien, JPM, etc...
Heidfeld on Alonso at the chicane at Monaco
...and Alonso's subsequent attempts on Webber at teh same corner

Captured it. Saw 5 mins of it - looked awesome - but ran out of time - had to do other stuff. Will watch it later sometime this week.
Once again, thanks for the info so I could record it.

Crud, I didn't read the last line of your post. I would have capped it if I knew.

The show wasn't that great. Bunch of yes men (but that's the reason I don't watch the show). What do you think of the suspension Mika? The suspension is great. What do you think of the power? The power is great. Tommy Kendal "I like to take the PSP (or whatever it was called, traction control) off" Mika "I like to leave it on, it's a great safety device, this is an expensive car" Were not even to the end of the first month, but that wins my rooleye of the year award.

It was nice to see some DTM and FIA GT race clips. I wish speed channel would show DTM.

Oh and I think this AMG's one man one engine is just a marketing gimmic. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to build and engine, especially with new parts.

Speed does show DTM occasionally, but its usually in the afternoon of weekdays when most are working. Plus they don't advertise it often enough for anyone to notice.

Well I didn't expect Mika to be objective, seeing how he is on Mercedes's payroll.

I just wanted to see him beat the crap out of the car around the track, which is not shown in most US auto shows.
