Migrating OS to SSD Software Question

Hi there,
What software would you use , Samsung or the one from Paragon? Any help is greatly appreciated..🙂 Thanks in Advance..🙂
 
I used Samsung's migration program on Win 7. It worked well but it never offered the option of only moving certain folders as described on Samsung's website and it created problems with subsequent backups that took a bit of sleuthing to fix. Overall, a fairly painless experience.
 
I boot into DOS and run Ghost.EXE with a SYS-Prep Image of Win7 64-Bit and dump Images from FAT32 onto partitions of a prepared HDD or SSD.

I've never had problems using Symantic's DOS Ghost.EXE.

Other members will swear by Acronis an other cloning GUI Software but I personally do NOT trust GUI Apps when Specifically Migrating your OS onto new hardware and that includes from a HHD to SSD specifically when SATA: IDE/AHCI/RAID Modes are different and that's just a tip of the Ice Berg.

Macrium, Acronis, EaseUS, Aomei, Paragon, and others all make software that can image, clone, or both.

Some people have better luck with imaging than cloning, and vice versa. Neither method is 100 percent reliable, so be prepared to do a clean install.

I've had best luck with Macrium imaging, but your situation might be peculiar in some way---oddball OEM partitions, boot files in strange locations, etc.
