Migrating FPSE websites to a new server...

Hi all...not sure if this should go here or in Networking, but I'll try here first.

I've got a really old server that needs to be upgraded. The server runs websites, some of which have been extended with FPSE. I need to migrate these websites to a newer, more powerful server. My hangup, though, is that I REALLY need the permissions, users, and groups to be migrated to the new server as well.

Does anyone know how I can do this? I'd hate to have to recreate users for the websites that have been extended.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

I am not sure if this will help, but assuming you're running under IIS, you could try to backup and restore the configuration of the server (from the Action menu). I am unsure what the end-effect will be on users, permissions, etc. Also, I think (not sure) you'll have to ensure that you have all the base folders (content for your virtual directories) in place before restoring the configuration.
