migrate to opteron 146 from northwood 3.0C worth it?

I do a lot of video encoding and a lot of CSS. Will there be a significant improvement? Also, switching out my 9800pro aGP with X800XL...

I have the corsair pc3200 value ram...should this give me room to overclock or is there a divider i could use...sry..new to AMD setup..

A lot of video encoding apps are SMP aware, so without a great overclock, you may actualy lose some video endcoding performance since your P4 has hyperthreading. I wouldnt' bother to switch unless you are going to a dual core. Gaming wise the video card is far more important but the opty may give you slight improvements if you aren't totaly video card limited.

Personally, I'd stick with what you have until Conroe makes it's debut and then make a decsion.
