thanks for the responses...
i have been taking zomig but when i end up taking it, its too late. i have been to the doctor at least four times this year as well as a neurologist, have had tests done.... nothing has helped.
i guess i need to start keeping a journal of what i eat and what i do before they occur.
i think they come on (for me anyways) when i am stressed out and when i dont get enough sleep.
This really sucks
Sorry to hear about your migranes, I know they are horrible. My ex-wife used to get them pretty frequently and I had to take her to the hospital more times than I can count. She would have the aura, her hands, feet, and some of her face would go numb, she was sensitive to sound, light, and movement, and would throw up a lot so the drive to the hospital was tough. When they got bad only strong drugs would help but they really wouldn't knock the migranes out, they just dulled things so she could sleep it off. Still, it would take sometimes days before she felt fine again.
A doctor told her to stop taking the pill and that might have helped. Some can trigger migranes. She also was told to take an asprin a day...coated of course..and a vitamin. She started drinking less pop and more water and got more exercise as well. As you mentioned keeping a regular schedule and getting your sleep can be very important. You might also want to take it really easy on alcohol if you do drink much at all.
She stopped having them after one huge blowout migrane a few years ago. She wasn't making any sense with what she was saying, she was even singing some wierd stuff. Her family was pretty freaked out since I had taken care of her for years and they hadn't seen this first hand. She doesn't remember most of that day, not even the spinal tap they gave her.
I guess I'm getting off track, but take care of yourself. Good luck, wish you the best.
