Can we get my friend invited when we have open spots, he played ikariam with us as well.

He's in our area (started using my referral link).

His name is cont4ct.

any good reading on how to spec your hero?

well, don't make your primary a builder. I did that (Also in the training module..), so it basically ties up your main hero is the only one that can build towers and such on cleared land. bit of a waste...🙁

I'd stick to picking a hero with a high-defense level system, give him knight, one with attack and give him the attack bonus, mage should either be priest or summon, I guess.

...and 3 hours to learn a 2nd career? blah. I hate having to send the army to town just to do anything with the hero, and they're gone for so long holding up slots.

I hate splitting up armies...but i suppose I'll get over it. just send some of one heroes soldiers off with another to do some more fighting, maybe. I don't know.

Disclaimer: I have no idea what I'm going, so don't take this as good advice, but my 3 heroes look like this right now:

Marzanna - ATK:Avg, DEF:Avg, MAG:Avg - Career1: Fighter
Thanatos - ATK:Avg, DEF:Weak, MAG:Strong - Career1: Dark Wizard
Freyja - ATK:Weak, DEF:Strong, MAG:Avg - Career1: Builder

I went snooping over on Shacknews and found a thread for them, but they might be using the in-game forums for most coordination. Having two different alliances is going to make that a little problematic for us; pity the dailysum forums are gone.

http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?id=23899965

is that dailysum forum provider--whatever it's called--completely gone, or is it that Safeway (ATOT member that started the Ikarium forum) stopped maintaining the forum?

is there a possibility to make a new one?

Playing devil's advocate here...doubtful I'm going to get very involved in this ATOT conquest... :sneaky:

Here's an interesting forum discussion:

Upgrading vs Improving Gold Mine

So far I have been improving (level 3 +10&#37😉, but there are some compelling arguments for switching to upgrading after that. Also, since I typically have a free hero, I've been doing "slow" improves using the slider bar so it takes longer, but doesn't cost as much.

only thing about that, i believe if you ever go upgrade you can never then choose improve, not sure if it also applies the other way.

my first hero as everyone is a 40/40/40, my next was a 40/20/60, and my last 60/0/60. If I had known that after these 3 i'd have to wait, would have picked the 0/60/40 instead of the last one for building duty. Made the 60-0-60 a dark wizard and the 40-20-60 summoner. unsure what i'm going to do with the 40-40-40 yet, thinking either going with red (leader/fighter) or if to make him a greenie to help build/economy.

TCR, can you post a referral link and I will add it to the OP? It looks like there might still be some space near you.

Having a couple of members in BFE is probably not going to be the greatest idea, but we will see what happens.

Soo, I hired a second hero and had no clue how to give him instructions

Now I think I accidentally sent him to attack a blank spot (no sawmill, goldmine etc) but I can't figure out how to cancel his orders or change them

Am I missing something or you can't alter your instructions to a hero once he is listed as "in a mission" ?

this is my biggest question right now. why do upgrade early on if you are locked out of further improvements/upgrades...or is that what it really means? I'm thinking that there are certain improvement options per upgrade level, and once you do one upgrade, you lose those earlier improvement options. but once you upgrade, their are new improvement options at the new upgrade level?

I don't get it...

I believe you can downgrade it if you want the improvements later. I'm pretty sure I saw something about downgrading somewhere.

We'll have more invites available tomorrow. Did you sign up with TCR's link or are you in some random location?

I didn't know cont4ct was your friend. He's one of my island neighbors on ika

So has anyone started building on the cleared area around the town?
