Yeah, doing what is best is the right idea. I'm living outside the city as the job is as well. I think it will be better overall being able to stay with my g/f also.

Take the job with better prospects for you. Take the lower £££ if it means better experience and opportunities. Don't be short sighted by more £££ now but with poorer experience and career advancement.
