I might be posting this in the wrong place, but there is a GBA game that I want that is no longer being produced... I see a lot of them on ebay just cartridge only... Are situations like this usually pirated copies or are they originals and I should be ok?The game is Castlevania, Aria of Sorrow...

Check your local EBGames/Gamestop for used copies. Of course, they could be pirated copies resold, but at least you'd have an opportunity to examine the merchandise.

I'd be wary of the ones that are cartridge only from Hong Kong and Japan... I saw several on ebay from within the US.

How many people have the necessary hardware to copy GBA cartridges? Piracy can't be THAT big of a problem, is it?

With readily copied DVD/CD's I'd be concerned, but a GBA cartridge seems much less likely to be copied. Plus, aren't the writable cartridges expensive anyway? That wouldn't make selling them very profitable...

well i've seen the stuff youd need to pirate available in the shop

you can use it to copy all your games onto one Flash cartridge

I've bought three gba games on ebay and all 3 were pirated (Advanced wars 2, castlevania, golden sun) catridge only is probably the best indicator.
