Might be buying another Maxima

Several months ago I was talking to my dental assistant and she said she was looking to sell her 1996 Maxima. I told her I was interested. Well, she decided not to sell it, so I made other plans and bought a couple other vehicles to play with.

Sunday she calls me up and says she is sure she is selling it this week or next week. I told her I didnt have the cash for it, but out of curiousity, how much is she selling it for?

$3000.00 was the answer. Its what the dealership will give her on trade in and what she owes on it.

This is a beautiful white car with tinted windows. Its an auto, but thats ok. 123k miles, cold AC, good stereo, and ok tires.

I called the bank today and have a loan for 3k which I will probably pay off in 6 mos or less. Payments are $100.00 a month. You really cant go wrong with that.

At any rate, I'm going to go look at the car again tonight and make my decision. This woul dbe ideal because it would stop me from putting so many miles on my 2k3 max (I have 29,969 miles on it, all since last june. Plus, I could sell my other explorer as well and have another car to drive around.

If I buy this car, that would make 2 maximas, 2 explorers, and a toyota truck which I would own. One of the explorers is all but sold as well.

i'd get a temp loan until I raised the 3k to pay off the car. It wouldnt take long, about 5-6 months tops.

I'd spread it out over 36 months though so my initial payments were small while I sold my other X or toy truck or something to get the extra cash for the car. I go through vehicles like most people go through socks.
 
picking the car up tonight..

wheee.. ice cold ac, great engine/tranny. it has rock chips on the front (white car, black primer). I'll just put a bra on it.
