Anyone else play it yet? It's free on steam

I tried it out. it's a card game like Magic The Gathering, but there are different rules, no land cards, etc.

Its kind of fun. Been playing the campaign and stuck on the last "mission" of the 1st area after the training area. The opponent is really tough as he is able to keep bringing out these tough creatures and kills off my few creatures before I can really do anything. Then I always end up running out of cards in my hand while he always seems to have a full hand.

I don't know if I need to modify the starting deck or build another one or what.

I'm playing as the Haven faction.

I tried it last night - probably up to about same point you are.

Not bad at all, debating if I like it enough to invest more time in it.

I assume you can buy more cards... is it money-grubbing like the old MTG game where you bought actual boosters, or do they use a less unsavory transaction scheme?

you buy card packs with in-game currency. you get in game currency by doing the campaign (not sure about other play methods). you can buy in-game currency also.

There's 2 types of currency - gold and seals. gold is easier to get but most card packs or bigger card packs require seals to purchase. card packs vary in cost and whats in them. there's a card pack that costs 2000 gold but you only get like 2 cards. the next cheapest gold costing pack is 12500 for 12 cards.

goddamn i can't beat this last campaign mission!! he gets all these creatures that are like 2 attack 6 defense and my best is like 2 attack 4 defense. and then he has all these creatures that reduce damage to itself and adjacent creatures and creatures that heal 3 damage to themselves and adjacent creatures...so basically i cant kill his creatures and he just mows mine down.

I can't even attack the opponent directly either.

Tried to edit the starter deck but you can only use cards from your faction, so there's basically no other cards to add/change.

I tried it awhile ago when it was a download version that was live but for whatever reason they had blocked people from the US, and even parts of europe and a few other places, from playing it and they never said why so I had to play through a proxy.

It was fun then and had a great rush deck that worked but don't feel like starting over.

I was ready to pass on this, but gave it a try last night... not a bad game.

It's like Magic the Gathering, but you gain 1 resource every turn; so instead of lands, on turn 3 you will have 3 resources to play a card. This works great, along with the 2 minute timer for turns, so games can go rather quickly.

I spent all my campaign gold and seals, but was an idiot and didn't realize I needed faction specific cards, so my deck is a bit weak, but I won my last three duels.

Not sure how much replay-ability there will be, since you can't mix and match card sets, but it is free...
