Hi,
I?m about to build a new pc for myself in the next month, main focus (performance wise) will be gaming, but I also use it for a bit office work and browsing, so noise and reliability is also a factor. I?m not going to try breaking any oc records, but I?ll take any free performance plus I might get without too much hassle. And I want a good platform for later upgrading, depending on needs (Right now I?d say a Quad Core in 1-2years, a new midrange gpu in <6 month, depending what AMD/Nvidea deliver with their new generation. SLI/CF is no option for me).
So far I?ve already bought two of these Patriot 2x1gb Kit, CL4-4-4-12, DDR2-800, not sure if I will use both kits or just one and sell the other.
I?m quite sure (but open for suggestions) about these parts:
I?m unsure about the gpu and the powersupply:

I?m quite sure (but open for suggestions) about these parts:
- CPU: Intel E6750 (most suitable price/performance imho)
Case: Antec P182
Monitor: HP Pavilion w2207
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS4, P35 (the price difference to DS3 is minor, and I?ll get the better cooling solution & fw & e-sata)
Cooler: Thermalright 120 Ultra Extreme + S-Flex
HD:I guess one 500gb HD will be enough, no raid, however i consider adding a fast raptor later
I?m unsure about the gpu and the powersupply:
GPU: I?m about to buy a cheap silent X1950Pro now to bypass the time until the next ?generation? from AMD and Nvidea is on it?s way, hopefully in less than 6 month, and than grab a 200-300ish DX10 midrange card. The 320mb 8800 GTS is alluring, but I?m sceptical about it?s performance in the newer titles, so I prefer waiting a bit. I expect the x1950 should be good enough to play some older and actual games, if I pass on a bit of graphical quality.
Power Supply: I?m trapped between the Enermax Infiniti 650W and the Seasonic S12 Energy Plus 650W. Enermax for it?s reliability and stability, the Seasonic for maximum energy efficiency and quietness
