HD 3850
8800 GS
9600 GT

I'm gonna upgrade soon, might as well considering how low prices are gonna be on this generation of midrange which actually has good performance.

Any ideas on which will have the most performance since the cost will be competitive?

If prices are competitive and if we were to believe marketing, the GF9600GT should be a solid winner.

The 9600GT will likely be a bit slower than the other two, assuming the specs and 64SP speculation is true. Both the 3850 and 8800GS are pretty close in performance.

yea.. the 8800GS is probably gonna be the absolute most price and performance... its specs are VERY close the the 8800GT.

No way of telling for sure until they are out though

Agreed. Not to mention that ATI has a history of releasing drivers that make an unbelievable performance difference. Doing this with a 3850 could make it quite a dandy card.
