Midrange AGP Card

I'm looking for a decent AGP card for a friend and am looking to cap my budget at $150. I've looked at several like the 6600GT and X1600 Pro and read reviews but I'm still not sure. Any ideas?

Oh and no Newegg links please - I live in NJ and the tax overrides any price advantage they might have 99% of the time.

I'd say you can't go wrong with a 6600 GT - assuming the rest of his system is up to par.

I've seen the 6600gt beat the x1600pro in some cases. Either card would be a good choice though.

Ah, good point. If you shop around you could always get a 6800 and unlock/OC it to death.

Stock pretty much burned out last summer. Tough to find now. Newegg has the Apollo for 145 A/R, but not the best reviews. All others are about $180.
