Was considering the Klipsch 400'but have been reading about problems with them from doing a search on Anands forums
I have decided to get the Midiland S4 8200's (or possibly the 7100's)
I am a total virgin to the way sound systems get hooked up or what the requirments are.
I have built my system with an OEM Soundblaster Live. I also have a Panasonic DVD but am using PowerDVD software, I dont have room (PCI slot) for a decoder card. It has (besides the two analog outputs) a yellow RCA jack on the soundcard that says digital out. According to the dealer at the computer show where I bought the Live from, said it doesnt have digital out and that the yellow digital output is not the real thing.
So, my question is, will the S4 8200's (or 7100's) work with the OEM version of the Live card that I have and if so, is the yellow digital out used and how? And are the two Analog outs used ?

You will be able to get Dolby Digital and PCM Digital output through the Yellow Digital on the Live! Power DVD supports the Live for DD 5.1 output as well.

You just need to use the yellow digital out, not the two analogue ones.

You do not need a decoder anyway if you have 400MHz and above
