Midiland S4 7100 Plus Problems

Hi, I'm having problems getting my Midiland S4 7100 Plus speakers to work, or play anything at all. The test button the remote doesn't do anything, well no sound is coming out. I knwo the speakers work b/c I've tested them on a different sub, but I can't get them to play on the midiland one. How do I connect the decoder box to a sblive! 5.1 card? I want to use a digital connection. But I can't get the speakers to work with the analog connection on my headphone jack in my dvd drive. I know it's reading the input because the decoder box is picking it up as analog. But I still can't get naything to play. If someone could help me that'd be great.
