My first 'Hot Deals' Post, about time...

Everyone knows about their (Geeks) rep, but these speakers usually run about $200!!

For 100 bucks, you can't get a better 5.1 system.

These are very nice. I have the non plus version. I never can go full volume, my ears say just say no, but when I turn them up there is no distortion. This is the review that convinced me to go with these and an Acoustic Edge.Link

this is a steal.

i have had the non plus version for about 3 years now, still using them right now. they sound great, the sub really hits. the plus uses the same speakers but throws in the decoder and remote (which I'd LOVE to have sometimes).

I saw this deal the night it was posted, and it didn't take me long to break down and order it...I ordered one that night. I looked up a bunch of reviews and they all looked pretty good. I've been wanting to get get 5.1 surround sound for my Xbox for a while, but didn't want to spend $200+ on a decoder and speakers. Well, this unit has both, and for a great price. After 10% off, I'm getting them for about $115 shipped (it is pretty heavy after all, about 37 lbs., I think.).

I have these speakers and they SUCK. The bass is weak. The treble sucks. Cant get them in to dolby digital, a whole slew of problems ETC They are pure ass. Sorry for my negitivity on this one but the review that AT did was good but When I purchased them they sucked. I contacted midi land and well they couldnt fix my problem i was told thats how they are supposed to work. Im sorry my DTT3500 from cambridge kicks their ass.

I'm here at college, but I got a call from my parents last night from home, they said they got a huge box from compgeeks, so that must be the speakers. Weird thing is that they delivered on a Sunday...and I purchased the cheapest shipping they had...odd. Of course they get it there the fastest when I'm not even home....I'll have to wait till about the end of the month till I'm home for another weekend to try them out.

I have the non-Plus version of these speakers and think they are great. I have never chosen to maximize the volume, but they do a good job of playing DVDs which have a wide volume range (i.e., not normalized). They are reputed to be great for shaking walls, but this is not a quality I was looking for in speakers, so I have not tested for myself (or my neighbours). At $90 (plus shipping - huge box because of large subwoofer) they are a steal.

Update: The price is now down to $88.50 , so you can probably get it for about $95 shipped after the 10% coupon.

Of course, this is after mine were delivered...ah well.

$107 shipped after the %10 coupon. Still a great deal... If I don't like the sound, I'll just sell them for a few bucks more on Fleabay ;)
