Strangely enough I am finding the Altec-Lansing ATP3 at the same price-point as the MidiLand S4 4060M. Specwise they are quite different, so what I want to know is if any of you guys have actually listened to both and can tell me a bit about your percieved differences (let's just forget the RMS power ratings).

Also I might be able to get a Monsoon MM-1000 for around the same price off a friend... I've listened to those, they seem to sound great, so if anyone has listened to that and can provide a comparison that'd be great.

Please... only people who have heard at least ONE of these speakers respond - and try to mention how it compares to whatever else you've heard... if you have already responded about the ATP3 in my earlier thread you don't need to repeat yourself. ;)

I would go out and listen to the speakers if I could but many are at online stores.

I have the Midiland 7100 series, it pretty much is the same thing as the 4060 (speakers that is)....my wife says that when we move into our new house...the computer room has to be on the other side of the house and in the basement. That way she doesn't have to listen to all the noise from me fragging.

My vote....Midiland

4060 similar to 7100? are you sure? I though the 7100 was four-point... the 4060 is just 2.1.

Anyways, if they are, how are they in terms of sound clarity (just the satellites)... how do you like them for listening to music?
