Middle Eastern man with bomb on plane!!!

I'm not going to hold my breath. It could just be some Croation guy with a beard trimmer in his hand.
 
I dont know. He had a bunch of explosives and was caught lighting a match by the flight attendant. Passengers helped subdue the man. He was of Middle Eastern descent.
 
Flight attendant smelled sulphur from a match (good nose!), confronted a man who had a wire coming out of his shoe. Shoe was x-rayed and found to have explosives of some type in them...perp's name is Richard Reed, had a bogus U.K. passport issued in the past three weeks. Plane is on the ground and isolated, perp subdued by multiple attendants.

They spelled Newfoundland "New Finland"? Geesh. Anyway, that's what the CNN anchor just said.

Edit: Haven't heard anyone say it was a Middle Eastern man yet, though that's the likeliest bet. Also, it was American Airlines Flight 63. How many AA flights have been disrupted like this lately? Crazy.
 
well supposedly it was a man with a bogus UK passport and the flight attendants saw him light a match and wrestled him down along with other passengers... there was a wire coming out of his shoes... probably the fuse. When they x rayed the shoes they said it there was enough explosives in there to do considerable damage... it just won't stop. 🙁

At least we caught the prick. What an idiot, why didn't he just use a lighter. Not a bright terrorist. Let's hope that all other planes are safe.

Are lighters allowed for carry on? If toe nail clippers are banned, I would PRAY that lighters would be as well.

You can have 2 disposable butane lighters per person on a flight.
 
Local station here says it was "improvised explosives"...WTH???😕 An explosive is an explosive!!

To add, the moron lit a friggin' MATCH on an airplane for god's sake!!! :Q Hang him by the knackers!!!

Oh, OK...thanx. 😱

I thought that maybe they were implying that they were fake or dummy explosives which would still carry a stiff penalty.
