Middle click in Flash applet in Firefox?

Just as the topic says. Is there any way to middle click links in a flash application to open them in a new window? I've noticed more and more sites using flash and it gets annoying not being able to open links in a new tab.

ign.com and news.com are two that come to mind

Anyone else notice this or find an extension to do this if it's even possible?

The only way that will happen is if Macromedia makes it so. Good luck with that.

Optionally, you can try convincing more people to help with the GplFlash project, and convince the project leaders to ensure that their plugin is cross-platform. Of course, even after being given attention by the Free Software Foundation, they're still not any closer to a usable Flash plugin, as they are on redesign #2.

So what are you to do? Your best bet would be to help spread the adoption of a technology similar to Flash, but one that integrates better with the browser environment.

Oh, hey, would you look at that, I think we've already got one...

As far as I know, no such thing exists in Firefox or Opera.
