Which do you choose?

  • Spend more time with family

  • Have more sex before marriage / wait to get married

  • Don't have kids

  • Do have kids

  • Spend more time exercising / eating right

.... and at the end of the speech, you must give one piece of advice to those young adults. The choices are:

* Spend more time with their family
* Spend less time partying and more time enjoying a hobby
* Have more sex and be more promiscuous before marriage/wait to get married
* Don't have kids
* Do have kids
* Spend more time exercising / eating right

You can only pick one recommendation to give. Which do you give?

You left out the most important one - "start saving/retirement immediately". The adverse effect would be less partying but since you're staying home more that means more sex and time with family (but not at the same time).

We have a problem with a victim mentality in this country. I'd probably try to impress upon the kids that they are accountable for their own actions and blaming others doesn't solve anything.

Besides "Save for retirement early and as much as possible"? "Double bag it until you are sure you can afford kids. Don't listen to those morons that say you will never afford kids so do it now."

I did that on purpose. Obviously everyone would choose that. It was meant to be six NON obvious answers.

With those as my only choices...I'd just tell them, "You're all fucked" and walk out.

My advice is to stay away from drugs.

But I voted for Spend more time exercising / eating right. As you approach middle age, your health really becomes a factor in the grand scheme of things.

While I like the "start saving for retirement early", I will have to go with "Learn a proper work ethic, aka, stop being lazy and whiny you spoiled ass brats"

Most middle-aged men I talk to tell me, "if I had known that I would have lived this long, I would have taken better care of myself."

If they are high school kids - "bang as many high school girls as you can!" You never EVER get to go back.

It's always easy to say "I should have done this" because it is your past self that would have to actually do it and your current self that would benefit.

None of them - and I tried really hard to weigh all of those as options. Nope, wouldn't recommend any of them.

"Give more than you take."

I'm not fond of the choices in the poll. I will echo what IndyColtsFan said and add this:

Being "successfull" is not measured in how much money you can bring home. True happiness in life can be achieved by pursuing one of your passions and discovering a way to profit from and make a living off of it. It WILL take much hard work and determination, but if you can pull it off you'll be doing something you enjoy AND making a living off of it. It will seem much less like "work" in the sense that some people define it (doing something you don't really want to do or care about as a necessary evil to bring home money).

Spend more time with family especially parents and grandparents. They will be gone before you know it and you will regret every missed opportunity.

Set realistic long-term goals for your life and focus on achieving them, but along the way, don't forget to have fun and enjoy your time on this Earth.
