Okay, this is a really stupid question--

I know how to remove one side panel--the one that gives you access to the top of the motherboard where the processor
and such are...but how do you remove the top and other side panel? I know the top and the other side panel are
attached together, but they're screwed in using some type of screw that I do not have the tool for. The screw looks like
a normal screw, except the part of the screw where the screwdriver usually goes, it's rounded with a small hole in the center.

Please help!
;)

What your looking at here are rivets, best thing to do if you want to remove that panel is to drill them out with a bit that is smaller than the rivet. Rivets unfortunately are unscrewable. Then use your own fasteners to reassemble.

What kind of bit would work? It seems to me that if I used a smaller one, it would just spin inside the rivet..or do I have
to apply a LOT of force to it?

Thanks!

I am sorry what I meant was smaller than the rivet and not the hole in the rivet. Just grab some bits and see which one is larger than the hole but not bigger than the diameter of the rivet. Good luck.
