Hooray, maybe I can get more than 5 hours of sleep in a night now...

94% on one
90% on another
95% on another
82% on another.

Life is good! Time to get hammered tonight.

Nicely done! Though, don't kill too many brain cells as these are only midterms and not the final exams! Don't want to forget too much! 😉

What year are you?

I'm only on my 3rd semester of college...still 2.5 years to go after this one is finished, but I'll get 'r done! 😛 I took 3 years off from school after I graduated from high school. I learned a lot during that time and most people thought I'd never go back. I love having will-power! 😀

I've been personally doing quite well academically. I'm taking 18 credits right now and work a total of about 40-45 hours/week, so I keep myself very busy. Are you in any clubs? I was told it looks really good on a resume, so keep that in mind. I'm having fun in them as well, so it's all good!

Keep up the good work; seems you know your books! 🙂

I'm a first year. I haven't gotten involved in any clubs yet, I am thinking of leaving this university next year. It is a great university, but I prefer home! 🙁

I am thinking of doing 4 semesters a year of classes, rather than 2, so I can finish my degree in half the time... 😉 Anyone know if there are any disadvantages to doing so?

the only disadvantage I can think of is that you won't get to enjoy college life as you should and that you will be buried in books until you graduate. Remember, although an important part, the only reason to go to college shouldn't be a degree. However, if you can do it , go for it. Freshman year is a breeze, classes will get a little bit harder though. I think that by doing fours semesters a year you won't be able to digest all the information you are given entirely (especially if you are a EE,CE,CS major).

just my 2 cents

Regards

Don't burn yourself out! Keep a steady pace through this time! I think that if you start biting off more than you can chew, you might get a negative point of view of college and could start to do worse academically. Also, many courses that include labs are only offered at certain times of the year. Most programs will allow you to enter the professional program only after you've completed some certain courses, so again, the time of the year when they are offered will factor in to completing in 'half the time'.

If I were you, just do the regular time, but if you feel you must, tack on a course or two over the summers to maybe shave off a semester or so from your graduation date. If your college is like mine, you pay $X /credit until you reach the minimum full-time student requirements and then after those credits, you don't pay extra. For instance, at my university, anything after 12 credits (full time student) is 'free' and is of no extra cost to you. That's one of the reasons why I'm taking 17/18 credits, but mainly, it's so I finish on time in the alotted 4 years.
