Just ordered the parts should be here next week, what do you all think:

Foxconn A7DA-S
AMD 7750 Kuma(OC as much as possible, dont care if it burns will get PII then)
AC Freezer 64 pro(could not find 1283 in stock, and its cheap, might upgrade later)
ATI 4830 512MB
Samsung 22x DVD burner
Segate 7200.12 500GB
Antec 300(maxed out w 28db/50CFM 120mm fans)
AC 550R PS
2GB Corsair XMS2 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800(had already)

Total cost minus ram $500 CDN
Might not be the best rig but a pretty good upgrade from my Duron 900(i think) w 512MB SD ram and geforce 3 Ti 200. :) I had to pull the pin on a upgrade when my GF bought the rig currently in my sig.

Good mid range system.

Only thing I would say is maybe consider another 2GB of memory because its sooo cheap.

I know, I am going to install 64bit OS incase i add more as i will probably grab a 2x2 kit and then run 6GB, I just had the ram already on hand so i could not pass up the price of it(Free) Forgot to add will be running my Sony Bravia 720P TV for monitor.

because i wanted to be able to use the new athlon .45nm when they are released or upgrade to a faster PH II when they are released, from what i understand the 775 socket is dead is it not?

Isn't AM2+ dead too? I thought AMD was migrating to AM3

I believe that all AM2+ boards will work with AM3 CPU's as long as there is a bios revision to support them

I personally would have spent the little extra for an X3 710. PhII architecture is much stronger & overclocks waaaay better than PhI (like the Kuma).

That is my understanding too. Your reasoning for upgrading is the same as my friends which seems like a very economical solution.
