I think ShawnD1 works for suburu or something. He's creaming himself over them in one of the garage threads, and I come in here to find he's doing the same thing.

Well, they are one of the fastest production cars under $100K, and they're only in the $25000 range. Subie's quality is top notch too, so at least it's something worthy to get all creamy about.

Actually what I kept saying in those other threads was how cars with open differentials suck. Half of the parking spots downtown are completely vacant because only AWD vehicles can park in the slushy snow. This also causes seasonal fluctuations in parking rates.

Plan B. I suggest the OP buy a corvette and a snow shovel :D

Um...no they aren't. The 2010 Impreza WRX will do 0-60mph in about 5.2 seconds which is quick but not "one of the fastest production cars under $100k." There are plenty of cars out there that are just as fast or faster. And lately their styling leaves a lot to be desired.

Only girls buy convertibles.

Only girls buy 200 dollar jeans and drive Scion's

seriously though you already proved in the garage thread you know about as much as a 10 year old girl about cars..

just talk about your jeans and your virginity and STFU.

(no points here so report away)

Oh I'm not questioning Subaru, just his undying love of it.

Truth be told, I'm currently looking at subarus for my first new car. I don't need speed, but AWD would be great in this northern indiana climate. I get discounts at some dealerships as well so who knows.

I'm about to turn 25 and I'm without question going through my first midlife crisis.

Broke up with the girl I planned on marrying, she's dating a significantly older dude, it twisted my heart right now. Rather than shove my thumb up my bum, I'm moving.

2.5 months in NY to work as an intern, 4 months in Texas to take a semester at U of T San Antonio.

Then.. I'm buying myself an E46 M3 for a Christmas gift to myself.

No, he's right. The WRX STi is one of the fasted mid level cars out there.

yeh but other than been "quick" it has no frills even with every option.
it really feels like a cheap car. all plastic cheap looking and feeling dash and controls..
not to mention they just aren't what most women would consider a sexy car.. boxy or the station wagon does not exactly exude sex appeal..

I love fast cars I do.. but there has to be a little more to it than just speed.
I want to be comfortable in the car.

I'd rather spend another 10-15k and get a Cobra or an SS even they have nicer interiors and options than the WRX STI.
or even a G37 Coupe and just put a Supercharger or turbo on it and be right there with the STI with 4x the luxury.

He said Impreza...and then he said $25,000. The STI is in the mid to high $30k range unless you buy used and you'd have to be out of your mind to buy a used STI.

WRX isn't a mid-life crisis car anyway. The STI might fit that bill but it may just be a bit too practical to be considered that. You really need something like a Porsche or a Corvette or a motorcycle to do the whole mid life crisis thing right. ;)

Just don't kill yourself on the bike.

I'm 27 and I nail anywhere from 21-35 year olds while driving a 19 year old Honda and wearing $50 jeans (fuuu clothes cost more in Canada). What do I win? :awe:

You win a pair of $200 pants. They look and feel the same as your $50 pants, but I assure you they are better. It's an acquired appreciation.

Hit 45 last year and my mid-life crisis was to get in as good of shape as I possibly could so I could be around for my 8 and 5 year old for years to come. So I started doing the P90X for the past 18 months and it wasn't enough for me, so I picked up P90X+ and Insanity for cheap and am doing a hybrid of the three. It beats the ever living shit out of me day after day, and keeps me in quasi-olympic shape. Burns off all of that energy and staves off those pesky voices that keep pestering me about that '67 Impala I've had my eye on. Know what Im sayin?

Peace

I am having a midlife crisis. This makes me sad because I am not that old, but hey, at least I have 100% of my life to look forward to.

I'm saying the Stock WRX is $25K and can do 4.7s 0-60 times. It's a pretty amazing car.
