Am I missing anything? I'm still considering a cheaper PSU... maybe.

Have you checked for combo deals? I know with all you're buying I'd bet some of those items or something similar are probably offered under a combo deal which would save some green. As far as the build it looks really solid. I see you went with the 570. Good choice. Good SSD too.

I wouldn't go cheaper on the power supply. You need good clean power going into your Pc.

Is there a way to see what combos I qualify for? I see a list of all combos, but it's a bit of a pain to sift through. I've never taken advantage of the Egg's combos...

I would consider a Gigabyte board or maybe ASUS. This is because of my very bad experience with ASrock boards. I got shipped 2 ASrock Z68 Extreme 4 boards with bent pins inside of the CPU socket. 2 of them in a row. Inexcusable.

If you can find a similar Gigabyte or Asus for $20 or $30 more, perhaps on sale or something, and find a Z68 for SRT, you could go with a smaller SSD and a 1TB HDD and save a little money there, because a 64 GB SSD + a 1TB HDD would be cheaper than the 128 GB SSD. In fact it might be worthwhile to do that because what little bit extra a Z68 board might cost, you will just save that on the SRT combo with a smaller SSD. And you will have more storage memory, and nearly the same performance.

Here is a Z68 Gigabyte board for $109.99

Only difference is no USB 3.0 ports. But is that really necessary?

If you want USB 3.0 here is one for about $15 more

Also here is a Z68 ASUS with USB 3.0 ports for about $130.

I looked and it looks like there's a microcenter in Overland Park in Kansas City. They usually have cheaper combos for CPUs and motherboards.

You can get a 2500k for $180
http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0354589

That is a good deal if you live within a short drive of a Microcenter. But if you pick up local, you have to consider taxes as well, and in many states you don't pay taxes for purchases online.

Newegg has it for $219.99, $40 difference, possibly add another $10-$15 on for taxes, but if you have to spend $20 in gas to drive there, it suddenly becomes not really worth it.

It would be worth the drive only if I could get everything I need for the PC cheaper after taxes than I could get shipped to me from Newegg, cost including the gas it takes to drive there.

Of course you could factor in instant gratification, which is has a lot of value to some people. I would personally pay $50 more for instant gratification on an entire PC purchase.

Wow, what terrible damn luck... Now I have to sink a bunch of money into my car. I could still get this PC, but that would be foolish of me. So now I have to wait at least a few months, rendering all of the work in this thread moot.

I'm sorry, guys. I really appreciate all of the help and input, though.

Amazon.com does a good job too

i get free shipping :D

You have to browse awhile to find a good deal on Amazon, because frequently people overprice stuff. But occasionally you find a really good deal on something if you are lucky. Awhile back someone had a few brand new Radeon 6990s they sold on there for $600, which is a hell of a good deal, but those kinda deals sell out fast and are usually small amounts only.

For $699 this OEM PC isn't a bad deal at all:

Really? The onboard sound will provide good 5.1? I do have an optical cable, and that mobo has an optical port built right in, so if that works just as well then that's great.

If you're using Toslink S/PDIF (i.e. optical), there is really no reason to get a dedicated sound card. That's because the sound card is basically reduced to just streaming bits from the application, no digital-analog conversion or amplification necessary.

I know the OP said he can't get the PC now, but for posterity:
- Don't pay a bunch of money for a factory overclocked card. Vanilla GTX 570's can be had for $275 AR.
- A ~550W PSU is plenty for a single GPU rig. The Neo Eco 520C is $55.
- You can get the same RAM without the fancy heatspreaders for $45.
- The Crucial M4 is the C300's replacement and can be had for $212
