I just ate a sunny side up I made in it, and then my roommate flipped, and told me I can't make eggs in the microwave because bla bla bla, something with cells and organizms and stuff. I think it's bull, but since I haven't had a microwave ever (don't ask) I'm asking.
Just about eggs. I know about foil, and metals and stuff, I'm just not sure about all the rest.
thanks

put a lit match in the microwave. Also, a complete egg, still in shell is cool too.

No clue what you're talking about with the egg thing, I don't see why it would be an issue.

So how come you've never had a microwave before? Are you Amish or something?

4 replies, non regarding the egg.
I'll ask again:
if I take a raw egg, put it in a microwave safe container. is it dangerous in the short range? I'm not talking about colesterol or stuff like that, but is there somthing wrong about cooking an egg in the microwave???

bed bath and beyond sells microwave-safe plates (for poached eggs, i believe), specifically for microwave use.

my aunt apparently eats two eggs every morning from such a contraption.

she's still alive and well.

I think my grandmother used to occasionally cook eggs in the microwave for us (breakfast)... I'm still alive. :-\

Cooking eggs in the Microwave is just fine.
Your roomate is probably just trying to pull a prank on you.

Also, I do not know if/how I would survive without a microwave. I would have to like, buy propane for my grill 20 times per year or starve.
