In a follow up to this thread, evidently people are too stupid to be trusted with using a microwave.

http://www.cnn.com/2007/HEALTH/01/24/germs.sponges.reut/index.html
"Just wanted you to know that your article on microwaving sponges and scrubbers aroused my interest. However, when I put my sponge/scrubber into the microwave, it caught fire, smoked up the house, ruined my microwave, and pissed me off," one correspondent wrote in an e-mail to Reuters.

"First, the sponge is worthless afterwards so you have to throw it out instead of using it. And second your entire house stinks like a burning tire for several hours, even with windows/doors open," complained another.

I'm waiting for the first Einsteen to put a Hard Drive into their microwave because this microwave cleaning method reportedly kills viruses too, lol.

UF, my alma mater.

This just goes to show you have to put disclaimers on everything, like those Chevy commercials that show the cars driving on the side of buildings...

**Do not attempt, cars cannot drive on the side of buildings

Well, the average user could still probably fit a laptop into a microwave. :p
