😕 I am working on a Microtek Vantas (Scanmaker) 3000 and all I can get the scanner to produce is one half of the scanned area. If a picture, it is fine on the left half but is blurry and has a blue tint on the right half. If text the left half is OK but the right half is smudged or totally black. This occurs on every scan. The scan glass and upper cover surface are clean. I am using version 5.1 of the Microsoft driver for Microtek scanners in Windows XP. Is there any hope for this scanner or is it best to replace it? It was part of a bundled system. I think you get what you pay for.
