I finally bit the bullet & upgraded my home computers to Windows 10 recently. I feel it's stable enough & good enough to use as my primary OS now. Previously, I only had it on my gaming rig for maximum Steam & NVIDIA compatibility.

I'm probably most excited about Alexa integration:

That, and re-integrating Windows Search with File Explorer. Most of my business clients just use Ultra File Search, but this will be nice for integrated searches. But then again, that's really been goofed up since the Windows 7 days, haha.

Last Sunday I took the plunge and upgraded from 1803 to 1903 ... It took 4 hours ... Today I reenabled windows updates and it did a bunch of them, then after it restarted, reran updates & it offered the Feature Update to 1909 ... That actually installed very fast (about 15 minutes) .. I did need to retweak some personalizations when upgrading to 1903 and Classic Shell is doing fine with 1903 and also with 1909 .. So now it is at 1909 18363 476 .. Hopefully Microsoft will stay with this simple feature upgrade method for all future changes.

Why on earth did upgrading to 1903 take 4 hours? I guessing you never did updates, but enlighten me.

Correct, I had windows updates turned off to avoid the forced feature upgrades. And my laptop is about 6 years old with a Celeron CPU at 1.8Ghz .. but it is now on v1909

Try using a "slow" (to us enthusiasts), or "basic" to most "Normies", such as a dual-core Bay-Trail Atom netbook with 32GB eMMC, that requires you (*usually, 1903 to 1909 update was an exception) to plug in a USB 16GB or bigger flash drive to provide extra room to do the update. I've had Atom netbooks/cloudbooks sit for 12hrs or overnight to finish, while I went to sleep.

Yikes!!! I totally forgot the old Atom processor. Thanks for the enlightenment.
