Ok, so I hear you have to activate Win XP and all that jazz....Is an internet connection *required*? I've heard yes and no......So, uh, wots the deal? And what if you dont have Internet....I havent because I have technophobia...The Feds spy on you through it you know...😉
 
This has been posted in NUMEROUS articles but here we go.

If you cant get internet access to register XP then microsoft will let you do so through a 1-800 number. If you are on an island in Fiji and can't use the 1-800 number then you can call Microsoft collect and they will accept the call and do your product activation.

You will not have a problem getting XP activated.

If you are that worried you can get an enterprise copy which will not require activation.
