I'm having problems with Microsoft office that I would really like to solve without having to format, I'm not in the mood 🙁

Before I posted here I ran adware, reinstalled office many times(its 2001), tried to get critical updates but the download stopped halfway, and did a full scan for viruses with the newest definitions possible using norton systemworks 2001.

Now, microsoft word was working fine about 3 weeks ago the last time I used it. I haven't really done much besides downloaded files and installed games, so I don't know what could have happened. However, whenever I open up word, it stays open for about 15-20 seconds and then I get this error.

I also found it odd that whenever I open a new document after the last one had closed, I get a Document#+1, For instance when you first open a new document the default name is Document1. Well after I close document1 and open a new one its document2.

I really have no clue what I did or what is going on, and I would really like to get this solved without having to reformat. Thanks.

maybe your normal.dot got corrupted or something...see here:

that "hpzntp04.dll" module sounds like part of a hp printer driver...maybe that could be corrupted? uninstall and reinstall perhaps....

Oh man, thanks a lot! I am so stupid! We had recently disconnected the computer from the network whose printer I was sharing, and it must have been looking for it whenever I loaded up word. I deleted the driver from my comp and it works like a charm. Thanks 🙂
