Is Office 2007 for Word the same in the USA and the UK?

I'm sending Word docs to the UK, and I'm saving them as 97-2003 Word docs, hoping that people in the UK can open and read them with Word in the UK.

Any thoughts here?

THANKS

Should be the same. The only thing to worry about is if
some users do not have the entire font set installed.
In that case, if you select an oddball or not common font
they may not be able to read it ... But it will still open.

Actually, both UK and US version are identical except for the dictionary use for spell checking. You should be OK to send and the receiver able to open and read the file.
