Microsoft Word spellcheck (ignore words with underscores)

Hey guys,

Is there any way to set Microsoft Word to ignore spelling errors with words that contain underscores? For example, if in my document, I have a variable name such as first_name, it gives the that red eyeball-raping squiggly line.

If there is any way to disable that, I'd appreciate it.

Thanks!

While in WORD, go to TOOLS OPTIONS and the SPELLING & GRAMMAR tab. Uncheck the all the auto things you don't want. HOWEVER, another possibility (and one that would keep you from making spelling mistakes that you don't want to make) is to add the underscored name or names to your custom dictionary. Once spelled correctly, highlight your first_name, right-click on the highlight, and ADD TO DICTIONARY. Note of caution. If you have lots of these type of custom dictionary entries, backup your CUSTOM.DIC file (search and ye shall find it) regularly.
