I wish to create a Word document where the header and footer only appear after pages one and two and not on the last page because the first page is the cover, second is the TOC and last page is the back cover.

Here's the full scenario:

For the first page I dont want any header of footer, second page I want the header footer but not the Page Numbering, third page I want to Page Numbering to start at 1 and go on in increments of 1 then on the last page I dont want header or footer or page numbering.

How can I achieve this goal?

Any help is appreciated

THANKS IN ADVANCE

You need to make a new section. Click on Insert --> Break --> Section in the Microsoft Word menus. Of course, put your cursor where you want the new section to start. Headers and Footers are section specific entities.

Even if it showed on all the pages, I think you can edit a section's header/footer without it affecting the other sections. It probably just assumed it should continue on all pages unless you actually go in and change it.
