It's OEM. I have bought 20-30 mice from these guys. They're are new but OEM meaning no retail package. They do come with the original driver/utility CD and manual. I think they come from broken up package deals. So they are "new" but not according to Microsoft. So the 90 day warramty is through Surplus. I have been happy with every purchase from them. I personally don't need the packaging because I add the mice to computers I sell............

The receiver is a small cordless type that stores in the mouse when not needed. It looks like an "L" with one end having a usb plug. The fact that it stores in the mouse makes it great for mobile use. Here's a better look -

I own this mouse and LOVE IT! CostCo had it on sale a few months ago for $18 or $19 and I bought one. Since I use my laptop mostly at home I'm considering buying the non-wired version so I don't have to worry about unplugging it all the time.

I've been looking high and low for one of the mouse's that has the L shaped plus for the USB wireless. Any idea on where to get one off the net??

I've got this mouse as well and love it. I wish the USB plug would fit flush into the mouse but it's not bad. I got this bad boy from Staples for ~$14.50 a few weeks ago and consider it well worth the money.
